So much has happened since I last logged on, friends. I have moved into a new studio space! No more shop, because rent for retail space in Kdub is crazy expensive, and the cheap rent obviously meant issues with electrical, parking, rats, etc. New space is 1/6 size and 2/3 rent to give you an idea of what actual cost is in town for studio space for artists. But I'm already so much happier! Had a successful market with mates in my new building. Huzzah! More details to follow.

I love rats, have kept rats as pets, will keep rats as pets again someday. The only way to solve this issue for the building is to kill them, because they’re so sociable and smart amongst themselves. They breed faster than rabbits, and the teach each other, and fend for each other. They over-Wintered last year. They’re stuck in. I think I need to find a new shop.

There are rats invading my shop at night. I am at my wits end. One of my nicknames is Rat Mama. They’re chewing on my wands, now. They recently discovered the shop in the building. They first came into the building via other rooms; and, I recently found out, they’d never left. This has been going on for a year!

It’s Friday and today I’ll be punching out more badges. I have a badge/button press and I’ve been designing and making pronoun pins and identity pins. I also have a custom pin order of 50 tabletop gaming badges to produce today. #pronoun #identity #gaming

Case in point, currently I get up, do crossing guard, this morning I fed a friend’s cats, now I’m in my shop ready for business. I just finished two commissions last week and I’ve already picked up a new one.

I'm an artist in Ontario Canada. I'm finding it impossible to get the supplies I need. The supplies are in the US. No one will ship to Canada. I keep hearing the shipping is too expensive. But I'll pay the shipping, the supplier isn't supposed to pay it, they should forward the charges. What I think is happening is, the tariffs are affecting the situation.
