For any governmental experts out there...if on a given day, Democrats outnumber Republicans in the House, one requests removal of the speaker, and a vote is taken, could the speaker then be a Democrat, until the next time there's a Republican majority?

Is this a method for the House passing legislation that's then sent to the Senate and signed by the president same day?

We know that only budget-related bills require a simple majority in the Senate. Asking for a friend...

@Oma_Trisha @JohnnyGenX agreed! there are at least 4 paths in order of odds (imho): 1) Rs find a way to get enough of their party to vote for a speaker. 2) Members don't show/fall ill, and the vote goes through (simple majority of those there, as you said!). 3) Ds vote for an R speaker (and gain concessions). 4) Dolly Parton is nominated and wins. 5) Rs vote for the D's nominee (and gain concessions).
