The Canadian government wants sweeping new powers, including access to confidential information, in order to βdirectβ how critical infrastructure operators prepare for and respond to cyberattacks.
And it wants to prohibit those companies from disclosing to the public anything about the directions issued by the federal government β including the mere existence of any orders to beef up protections.

True and now that we have countries doing cyber war something has to happen.
Agree. I think most developed countries' legislation is far behind the technology. I too am glad to see this kind of thing but it's hard to judge if they got the balance right.
