🔵 yeah, WE KNOW, and it's a problem (also doesn't seem like you actually like any liberal ideas)
🟡 please don't, unless you want to help the antidemocratic authoritarian demagogue win and turn this country into a dictatorship

democracies don't need "a strong conservative party" to flourish, because the entire aim of conservatives is to prevent society and democracy from flourishing, to impinge on human rights and rule by force, not mandate. plenty of flourishing democracies have no "strong conservative party," or at least not nearly as far-right as ours, and Trump is "an antidemocratic demagogue" BECAUSE HE IS A CONSERVATIVE. that's the whole party at this point.

authoritarians that HE HAS PRAISED, ADMIRED, AND OPENLY ASPIRED TO EMULATE. remember when Xi Jinping made himself President for Life and Trump said "maybe we'll try that someday"?

🔵 outside Biden's control
🟡 Trump made it worse
🔴 WHY IS THIS SOMETHING TO BE MAD ABOUT?!?

no. nope. they get that benefit of the doubt in 2016 but not this time. they already tried "I'm unhappy with the status quo so let's smash everything with a baseball bat." they already tried Trump's "anti-establishment rhetoric." they got tax cuts for the rich, an exponential rise in hate crimes and A FUCKING INSURRECTION. this is not some cute "uninformed & disaffected voters wanting a disruptor" situation anymore. this is open support for fascism.

it's important to note the two-fold racism of this statement: first, in using Obama's middle name to evoke imagery of Muslims and Saddam Hussein; and second, the implication that it's "the scary black man" who's actually still calling the shots and making the decisions he doesn't like. Biden, an old white man not unlike Trump himself, couldn't possibly be choosing to let more brown people (automatically "terrorists & terrorist sympathizers," so threefold racism) into the country.

there's really not much else to say here, except a reminder that in the biblical description of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, DEATH is the one "riding a pale horse." so, you know, when your consulting firm names itself after THAT...

with a party - and a country, frankly - that so openly disdains intelligence and education, yeah, you could call that a liability.

"might be"?! the man has basically published his Mein Kampf manifesto of his authoritarian plans for revenge the second he touches power and the best you can do is "might be more radical"?!?

see? it's not hard to sympathize with Palestinians and condemn Hamas.

I got to see a test screening of this! the best way I can put it: if you liked The Lighthouse, you will probably like this movie.

I very much did not like The Lighthouse.

these two statements don't jive. you can't protect civilian lives by launching over 200 air strikes in 24 hours. at this point they clearly won't be satisfied until all of Palestine is a smoking crater.

turn yourselves in to the police and get some fucking therapy, Jesus Christ.

didn't they already do this once and it failed because Republicans will never hold their own accountable?

(also of course he's embracing the spotlight, that's the whole reason he's there)

considering Hamas was like "yeah we'd be happy to continue the cease-fire/prisoner swap" while Israel was like "ehhhhhhhhhh MAYBE," I'm disinclined to believe Israel's account on this one.

the most shocking part of all of this is that the media is actually reporting it. hopefully this brings public sympathies for the Israeli military more in line with reality.
