Guess who's back? Musk is going to tank Twitter. Advertisers are pausing spends and most verified users won't bother paying.

Brooklyn Nets suspend Kyrie Irving for at least five games over his "failure to disavow antisemitism" following Twitter controversy

Damn I thought I was pro, Jester? It's getting to be time to leave Twitter. Without sports - and during a pandemic - it sucks hard.

So somewhere in Puerto Rico there's a man and wife who are going to post a picture of the husband and me and I hope his friends and family all find it as funny as I did.

And yes, I repeatedly told him I am not Nick Van Exel or a pro athlete. He didn't believe me 😂

It got closer to tee off so I went to find my cart and bag and partner. I noticed that they clearly didn't have my name on the cart and since I was alone they paired me up with the lawyer, which was fine. Apparently I took "Nick Van Excel"'s spot (it's Van Exel for those who watched NBA).

The guy came up to me again asking if I would golf with him and then called me Nick repeatedly. So of course, I told the guys I was golfing with who doubled over laughing.

I set my bag down and looked for registration inside the clubhouse. Before I could head upstairs to the table, a man stopped me with his wife. They had a Canon digital camera. I thought they wanted me to take their picture.

As it turns out, he thought I was a professional athlete and before I knew it he was hugging me and his wife snapped a photo.

I'm not a professional athlete.

Funny story. I'm the giant on the right. On the left is a former NFL safety for the Skins and Raiders. The guys in the middle are lawyers (and good golfers).

I took the shuttle from my hotel to the clubhouse and got out with the NFL player, the lawyer and former Dallas Mav Michael Finley.

@AirRation @th3j35t3r the NAACP did sue Eastpointe, which also borders Detroit, and won. Residents vs. tickets written was legit flipped and was all against PoC.

@th3j35t3r @AirRation It was disheartening to say the least to tell the African American businessman in a suit that the cop wouldn't talk with him before they went into the courtroom over his <checks notes> 5 miles per hour over the speed limit ticket, in which the cop dropped the N word.

@AirRation @th3j35t3r I worked at a court that borders Detroit where some cops were really racist. They had an acronym written on the back of tickets that specifically noted it was a PoC in the city after dark. It was unreal.

@th3j35t3r Interesante... Does it accept Puerto Rican banks?

Wait there's a verified status on here now?

@Minholkin Well, I love living in Puerto Rico that's for sure. We throw out corrupt Governors and the people are truly the greatest part of living here. How are you?

So, Twitter has a known bot problem, there handles that detect bot and hashtag surges, and yet they can't figure it out. Jaysus. Also, hi everyone!

Hey my friend and probably cousin and former Managing Editor of Snopes.com started her own thing called whatstrue.com. Would love the CS community to give it some love!

@Minholkin I think the biggest reason we love it here and wanted to move here was the people. Puerto Ricans are incredibly friendly and generous and kind.

@Minholkin Even better view as they finished the rooftop. They hosted a wedding there last year. I'll post some pics here tomorrow.

@Minholkin Business-wise I need to submit the rest of my documents for Tax Act 20 and 22, but I have everything except a bank account down here. Will do that next week then enjoy the people, weather and ocean. Although I have to say as someone who speaks some Spanish they've been nothing but accommodating to my poor Spanish grammar.
