Welp, I've left the continental US and don't plan on coming back. Officially a boricua living beachfront and my business will not be paying a fucking dime to Trump's government anymore.
@Minholkin First day was rough all around. Travel was exhausting, rental home was nowhere near ready for us so we ended up hopping to the neighboring house, which is 100x better. Landlords are here and are fantastic too.
Ugh—stinks that your first home was a disappointment, but it sounds like you made it work even better for you! Better house/better management :)
Still have that lovely view?
@Minholkin Even better view as they finished the rooftop. They hosted a wedding there last year. I'll post some pics here tomorrow.
Thank you—I will look forward to seeing them! I’m happy for you that you’re off to a good start :)
What a true illustration of “nothing ventured, nothing gained”
@Minholkin Business-wise I need to submit the rest of my documents for Tax Act 20 and 22, but I have everything except a bank account down here. Will do that next week then enjoy the people, weather and ocean. Although I have to say as someone who speaks some Spanish they've been nothing but accommodating to my poor Spanish grammar.
So a few hoops to navigate but settling in and savoring will fill the time :) Perfect!
I have a little bit of travel experience and have found a warm welcome everywhere I went when I had a respectful and curious demeanor :)
@Minholkin I think the biggest reason we love it here and wanted to move here was the people. Puerto Ricans are incredibly friendly and generous and kind.
@dbinkowski Adding you to the list of those we may implore for refuge one day.😕
@dbinkowski
Congratulations!! I wondered how you were faring with the move! Are you all settled into your new home? Business up and running? :)
