Not going to happen.
Boeing has too much of the defense sector to face meaningful consequences from the government. It's truly too big to fail.

Most of Boeing's profit is from defense and services, not new airplane sales.

The solution is greater government oversight, QA, and more accountability for everyone involved. However, the expenses involved would be far more unpopular (with the public) than the tiny random chance of a deadly failure.

Increased taxes & tickets? No

Holy smokes this was a deep thread. Thank you all.

I'd like to add that the opposite of love is not hate; the opposite of love is apathy.

The opposite of hate, however, is love.

This can be used to finesse the time-delay effects of certain magic items, so has some value beyond just being a nuisance.

OMG. Pure luck.

These guys aren't going to be so cozy when that velvet comes off. Two of the local three bucks we call "The Lads". The doe with the twins was in the back yard, under the apple tree earlier.

If you're concerned about child sexual abuse, you have to consider any adult with unmonitored access to children.

It's usually family or trusted authority figures who are abusers - it's not random strangers. It's parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents, coaches, teachers, ministers/ priests, babysitters.

It's a massive violation of trust, not stranger danger.

We attended the Columbus UU church occasionally when we lived in Mt Gilead. Great people.

@Kurtroedeger Brown outs cause damage through high current draws.
When the resistance (load) is constant and the voltage drops, Ohm"s Law says the current rises. Components are rated for both voltage and current, and if the current gets too high they can be damaged.

Usually it's capacitors that start failing from overcurrent, which affects the isolation and signal transfer of various circuits; and poor voltage regulation.

There should (must) be minimum federal standards for voting procedures and requirements.
The Republicans are screaming for this - why aren't we providing it?
