Which Dungeons and Dragons alignment are you, and why do you think so?
For the uninerdiated, there are two axes, moral and ethical.
Good
Law - Neutral - Chaos
Evil
For 9 alignments:
Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Chaotic Good, Lawful Neutral, Neutral, Chaotic Neutral, Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil, Chaotic Evil.
For my part, I consider myself Chaotic Good.
I oppose strictures and authority, favoring individual freedom to decide risk, consequences, etc. I support free will, creativity, diversity, and am comfortable with things being new and unpredictable.
So: Chaos.
I believe in compassion and concern for others, and a desire to create a better world for myself and others out of love for other beings, so I think that counts as: Good.
@AskTheDevil
I'm a 20+year, 3 generation DM. I've always favored Chaotic Good.
CG makes life interesting, without intentionally causing harm.
Lawful Good constrains behavior too much; Lawful Neutral is boring and uncaring; Lawful Evil is as you so eloquently described.
NG is fine, it's easy-going and cool; Pure Neutral is uninspiring; and NE is cruel and untrustworthy.
Chaotic Neutral is scary - mindlessly thrashing through encounters; and Chaotic Evil is the same, with negativity.
@danalan That's my take.
I do try to use Chaos to tempt the evil into trying better things, occasionally. Sometimes it works, but you know, it's chaotic.
