I wonder how difficult it was to compose and word this statement. Trying to stand up for rule of law and the constitution as well as human rights and all the other good things, while expressing displeasure at the outcome, and yet, not sounding like one of the lawless, conspiracy theory loons of the far right.

No matter what he says, they will take offense, to be sure.

It's stuff like this that makes me glad I never went into politics.
