The 'weakness' of rights like the 'right to free speech' is also one of our strengths.

While is does leave us open to misinformation campaigns unlike authoritarian regimes that determine what citizens are allowed to read and see in the media, that 'right' also facilitates information sharing.

Our media/platforms need to respond to the firehose of misinformation better, and we--as citizens--need to stay better informed and become better bullshit detectors.

@Lulz4l1f3 our media platforms like fox and x for instance? If another country is waging an information war and someone like the aforementioned is profiting from it and a large part of the country believes it we don't do anything but hope? What if money is the only one with a bullhorn? @th3j35t3r

We have agency. We can all do our part if we choose, Most of us could do more. Few could do less.

@damselfly59 @th3j35t3r I am In my own opinion we need to enact a 3 strikes law for all social media companies. Yes, I know it could never happen but hear me out. If there are credible reports and evidence your users on your social media company is spreading false propaganda, or even fake news to enable or create bad reactions intentionally then your social media company will not be allowed in country. I know of only 1 social media company that self regulates like that 😎, and it this one.
