Dear CounterSocial, I still haven't been able to figure out how to add friends on Desktop. This is ridiculous. I am a UX Professional and I haven't been able to figure it out yet!

Be patient. FB and TW looked (and functioned) like shit when they were released.
@brianckelley This is for when someone on Twitter told me their handle, not when I see a post here. Someone else suggested searching first and then hitting follow on the results, which works.
@brianckelley That's true. But the fix is a low-cost, easy one. Adding a friend should be as easy as going to the "My Friends" section settings and clicking Follow. There are multiple points where this affordance can be added.
Also, ppl keep talking about a User Guide, but I can't find it anywhere, not even in the FAQ, which cutely talks about the European swallow bit from MP's Holy Grail. Just dumb.
@cosmiquemuffin good to hear. But, like I said, it's easy to be overly-critical of "the new". As a UX designer, I'm sure you're familiar with the concept.
