We have had many discussions here on Guns.
We haven't resolved anything.
I can only state my preferences. And they might not be popular.

I am a gun owner.
Prohibitions don't work, regulation does.

I have never owned, nor would in the future own an "assault" type rifle.
Or any weapon chambered in 5.56 NATO.
They are just not that useful, except for active combat.

And this I highly agree.

Full registration would be a hard sell, but worthwhile.

Easier would be mandatory liability insurance based on the lethality of the weapon.
