I know everyone has to eat, and earn a living. Promoting your work whatever it is, is ok with me. But here is a hint: this place is about community, we talk, laugh, cry, and generally hang out. If you want engagement, best bet is to give engagement. Talk to us. Let us know a bit about you. Give us a reason to be interested in your work. Banner ads, or just saying "buy this" probably ain't gonna be successful.

We FEEL good being together here. No other place stirs my emotions as much. None feels like a home w/good friends visiting. Friends that encourage, friends that ya can tell your deepest secrets & feelings to. Without judgement.❤️
I've definitely lost count of how many people have discovered that sailing in here and alternatively begging people to send you money and whining about the desperation of your personal situation is a non-strategy here.

@corlin @Timothysykes Yes, this is me. I hate ads but I am a huge believer in supporting things I enjoy such as books, reading material, small businesses and sites like this. I would rather make a donation for something I believe is worth supporting than feel like I need to be careful where my hand is on my iPad because it might hit a horrible ad. I’m brand loyal in general, but I love finding new things.
