On another note, @th3j35t3r, if you really want this place to be the best alternative for Twitter and entice users to leave there, you should figure out how to add a feature that's equivalent to the quote-tweet. It would def improve the UX, and you might find tweeters, ahem, flocking here.

No, Nope, Nada, Never.
There is NO benefit of the "quote tweet". It is the whisper behind someones back. It disavows actual human communication. Engaging in dialog with others, builds community and understanding.
@corlin @th3j35t3r If I want to pass along a link to an article from the NYT 's account, and make a comment about it, that starts the conversation. I'm not engaging in a conversation behind the NYT's back.
Ok understood.
But just make a new post.
Put the link in as a normal link.
Or reply to someone that did the above.
