Weird thought: since eggshells are primarily made of calcium carbonate, which is highly soluble in acid, and we have pretty strong acid (HCl at a reasonable concentration) in our stomachs...

Technically speaking, one could probably get away with eating eggs whole, shell and all. You would definitely have to be careful to avoid cutting up the inside of your mouth, but it'd be a fantastic source of calcium!
