How it rambles 'round the moon
A let-go-of balloon
Nothing is forever
everything is soon
Hold your head up high.
Here is how my daily musical journey is going this drizzly pop Saturday:

Before there was Yes, there was the original Syn.
(sorry, couldn't resist)

Falling back on a playlist of favorites on a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.
Cheers me up a bit. Hey, who knows, maybe somebody else needs it.
Just heard about about Benny Golson's passing (September 24). 😢
Here is "Staccato Swing" from his 1959 album "Gone with Golson"

With my wife's current medical issues, and my current medical issues, we can't afford to let existing screening software police our email and phones. Too many medical calls are being blocked or tagged as spam/junk.
So we've had to largely disable screening and take EVERY call. The result is a tidal wave of scams, and spam, trying to screw us out of our retirement money and Medicare coverage. Everything from bots to boiler rooms in Mumbai,
I fully blame GOP deregulation for this,

100 Planetary nebuloses photographed by the Hubble Space Telescope
This quest to understand what nature is made of has led scientists to look beneath the visible, cellular level to the molecular, atomic, nuclear, sub-nuclear, electroweak unified, and grand unified levels—many millions of times more minute than the atomic nucleus—and, ultimately, towards a unified theory of everything.

Perhaps already posted today, but this video zoom-in of NGC 602 is the most wondrous thing I've seen in weeks, perhaps months.
Watch it on the highest res you can support.
Was late to an event two nights ago because this was on the radio, and my friend and I simply COULD NOT leave the car until it was over.
Even if you're not into classical, put this on (preferably decent speakers or headphones) and see if you dig it.
Seriously, those piano runs near the end!

Sad that it's once again a presidential election year, and I feel the need to vote 'D' straight down the line.
BUT THIS ISN'T THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.
I 'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican, and I feel that there *probably are* great candidates on both sides.
But the great cult/mindvirus has tainted one side, and those candidates who might be otherwise perfectly suited for the job will not win my vote.
It's elimination by affiliation.
All because of The Man of Lawlessness.
Sad #politics
Get those toes a-tappin'.
