Code's eclectic music pick of the day:
What fresh sacrilege is this?
And yet, it definitely works.

My love for music is born from growing up listening to my father's albums across all genres, from The Boston Pops/Arthur Fiedler to Black Sabbath. As I got older, like most people, what I listen to day to day depends on my mood. Also, lyrics matter a great deal to me, as well as musicians who rock the boat, from Frank Zappa to Rage Against The Machine.
Music is powerful.
@sheseala @th3j35t3r @cjcrew I’m not sure AI is required for this to work. The real issue is making the signal to noise ratio so far out of whack as to make search useless.
As of Tuesday 11-28-2023 at 18:00:01 ET, CounterSocial has NOT responded to any warrants, subpoenas or other formal orders from any government agency. Further, as of the same timestamp, CounterSocial has never turned over any encryption or auth keys to anyone. Neither have we installed any law enforcement software or equipment anywhere on our network or provided any enforcement organization a feed of any user content transiting our network. Fascinating. For those who are into security, math, encryption, AI. A (mostly) thoughtful discussion on what might really going on at OpenAI.
If it proves to be accurate, well, it changes everything on the internet and also many things in other aspects of modern life.

Gee, you think?
I know it's silly, but a few years ago this picture provided me with humorously and tearfully odd comfort in a dizzying time.
Since the dizziness is ramping back up, maybe this will help someone else by generating a gutchuckle. If you are a Kaufman fan, this makes total sense:
( and yeah, I guess this qualifies as #politics )
Farewell and thanks to Marty Krofft (1937-2023).
With brother Sid he created H.R. PUFNSTUF and some of the most memorably trippy kids shows of the 1970s.
He also produced DONNY AND MARIE, THE BRADY BUNCH VARIETY HOUR and more in an epic career.

Y'all might be wondering why I'm so het up over Bloom County today (besides the fact that it's great and I've loved it since 1981)
But ... there's this bit of amazing news!
galantamine: Two big thumbs up. Amazing, realistic and enjoyable lucid dreams. While taking galantamine I actually looked forward to falling asleep. Dreams were very interesting, detailed and vibrant. Lucid dreaming was attained on multiple nights. Wish that it was not quite so spendy, though.
But again with the usual disclaimers... everyone's different, your choices are your own, etc.
Anybody else have experiences to share?
My own experiences thus far:
Huperzine: For me, a terrible, horrible, no-good-very-bad experience. First time use, I skimmed along in a dream within a dream. Kept waking up into (what I thought) was my bedroom, in my house, only to find that I was actually still asleep and dreaming. Then it looped. When I finally woke up "for real" it was to a state of confusion (am I really awake now?) and mental exhaustion.
Waited a couple of weeks, tried it again, same experience.
Spotify surprised me with a daily playlist that was superb for my tastes and disposition today.
MUCH better than the usual picks, in my experience.
So if you like melodic prog with an occasional foray into either soft or aggressive, you might enjoy this playlist. I know I did.

Lately I've been feeling a need to get out among some trees. A real nature hike. But there's not much around without taking a long road trip. Growing up in Michigan, we used to roam around the woods all the time, and I miss it more than I thought. The smells. The sights. The sounds.
This helped take me back for a bit. I put it up on the big screen and sat closer than usual. No smells, but the sights and sounds relaxed, and took me back in time.
Enjoy!
