Code's eclectic ̶m̶u̶s̶i̶c̶ album pick of the day:
This is an album that just keeps getting better with more plays. The first time I heard it, I thought it was nice. Enjoyable even. But the more I listen to it, the more it gives back. Even the Renaissance-Faire-ish track 3, which I had initially decided was not my cup of mead.
Here's a sample track, but I recommend checking the entire album. Seriously. It's one of those rare gems.

Oh, I *love* SILENT RUNNING. Will keep an eye out for the familiar set pieces.
(And oh, Harlan Ellison. I feel like our best biopic of him barely scraped the surface. 😅 So many different ways to come at his strengths, his weaknesses, and his refusal to be pinned down in terms not his own.)

A few years ago, I fell in love with a rock group from England that I'd never heard before. The album was called "The Seldom Seen Kid", and as I listened to it, over and over, I couldn't understand why Elbow was not FAR more famous here in the US. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago when I watched the full video for "Flying Dream 1"
For me, it is a stunning musical accomplishment. Listen to all of it.

Have to admit I cried with the news trump indicted for #jan6insurrection
Whether jail is part of the equation, having justice prevail is so restorative after years of frustration and doubt.
The wound of doubting our justice system was greater than trump’s treachery.
