Day 6 of music week.

Here is the song "Poor Little Fool" by Helen Reddy (!).

Written/composed by... well, by now you already know who I'm gonna say, and yes, you can tell just by listening.

A bit of hilarity found in the Twit source code:

(posting the image because I no longer believe in referring people to that site)

having easy access to the world's music is one of the best things about being online.

Sermon created one of my fave albums of 2019. A one-man band (who remains anonymous) this is melancholic metal that can also hit hard, with deep and brave lyrics. Their latest release came out (in full) today, and - WOW. If you dig metal that also has some lyrical depth, check out the album "Of Golden Verse." I've already posted one track today, here's another that I had to play three times in a row just now.

The media says we shouldn't be celebrating frump's indictment bc it's a sad day in history. Yes, this is the lowest of lows, but it's his and his supporters lowest of lows. I didn't vote for him, therefore I have no fault in his ability to screw over the country. I'm not happy to have this blemish but I was 1000 times more unhappy to see him elected and allowed to treat America like shit. So, yes, you better believe I'm celebrating. Evil is paying the piper. Finally.

Unless you illegally paid a pornstar hush money, falsified business records, stole classified documents, extorted Ukraine, tried to steal an election, plotted a coup, caused an insurrection, raped women, & laundered money for the Russian mob, they’re not coming for you next.

Day 5 of music week.

The song "Let It Run" from the movie Electric Dreams, by Jeff Lynne. Great 80's cheese for a wonderfully bright day.

Also check "Video" from that same soundtrack.

If you're thinking of booking AirBnBs for the total eclipse next year, my daughter had a spreadsheet of possible places. She booked a place we liked, then for fun went back to check the other places — half of the ten also-rans were already booked! Folks are starting to jump.

If you're planning to travel to the 2024 eclipse, it's time to get moving. Start scouting places!

Day 4 of music week.

Here is George Harrison, with When We Was Fab. Co-written and produced by Jeff Lynne.

As if you couldn't tell just by listening. 🙂

I tried to recreate my school fete from the 80s.

I spent much class-time out in the quad, who knew that all those wasted lessons were not actually wasted after all.

✴️The 80s: Miner’s strikes, serial killers and hooliganism dominate the headlines. A harsh backdrop for a tormented child and bleak times for those living below the breadline.

Can't support me due to lack of funds? I will happily accept a boost. Much love PDL

Or is it perhaps a trick (or shortcoming) of the imaging process?

Yeah, I probably have too much time on my hands, but I have a question for anyone who has knowledge in oceanography or sea-floor geology or oil & gas exploration, etc. (which for all of these topics I have almost none).

I have seen these marks that almost look like some sort of vehicle tracks off the coast of WA and CA. I'm guessing that they're probably a natural phenomenon, but am curious if anyone can explain what they are.

Because I am a generally curious cat.

"Stand upright, speak thy thoughts, declare The truth thou hast, that all may share; Be bold, proclaim it everywhere: They only live who dare." - Voltaire

It's absolute and blatant hypocrisy.

They fight for guns for everyone, with no permits or training requirements, no background checks and no license to carry because that's what they believe in and continue to fight for.

Then they act mortified when - surprise! - anyone can easily purchase and amass guns.

And when that does happen, instead of owning up to the reality of the world they've created, they blame a catchall bogeyman named "wokeness."

This is our downfall.

This is our legacy.

Day 3 of music week.

Here is Dave Edmunds with Slipping Away, written and produced by Jeff Lynne. One can always tell. 😃
