Hey California Cosonauts: Beware of fraudulent referendum petitions! SB 1137 establishes a "health and safety buffer" of 3200 feet for any oil drilling from where Californians live, work and play. Big Oil is spending millions of dollars to overturn this. Now they are collecting signatures on a referendum which they (fraudulently) claim will block oil drilling in neighborhoods-- but if it qualifies for the ballot by December 15 it will stop the law from going into effect on January 1. 1/2
