It's World Mental Health Day.
I have type 1 diabetes, tinnitus, TMJ syndrome. It's tiring to also have to be a functional human. I have anxiety and depression; cycles of dark disturbing thoughts/scenarios.
I manage best I can: talk, rest, made health decisions over career decisions; avoid negative social media, people, subjects.
The 'black dog' strikes eventually, when least expected - and not just on a bad day/week.
It's OK not to be OK! 💙

I’m opening all this week at work, we open at 4:30 in the damn morning. Yesterday I was a couple minutes late and there were people waiting for me to get there. At 4 fucking 30 in the fucking morning! They hadn’t even been out drinking all night, they got up that early.
What’s the point of even bothering to go to bed when you get up that early? I go to bed when it’s still light outside so I can get up 3 hours before the sun to take care of customers who don’t ever seem to sleep.

My conclusion: People are fucking stupid.
Just an FYI, if you call a gas station at 5:30am for a tow and the person asks you to wait, wait longer than 2 minutes before hanging up. Chances are it was a cashier with a line of people waiting to be checked out so they can get to work and the boss is outside pumping gas and he has to be asked for a price.
Not every business you call can afford to have someone there to just answer the phone the entire time they are open.

FIERCE CALL OUT!!
Spent the day with 3 of my cousins (I have a LOT (over 60) of first cousins, most of whom I don’t know), it was very nice. Always some stories of people I’m related to that I don’t know but most of the conversation was about aunts, uncles and parents when they were children. The stories they passed on to us that my cousins passed on to their children and now are passing on to their grandchildren and will be passing on to great grandchildren. It was a very nice day.
