Fun night last night, the wind took down a tree near the front of my house, and hitch on turn took out cables so we had no electricity all night, still without cable/internet. Thank goodness the storm had cooled things off or we’d have been miserable instead of merely inconvenienced. I’m still limited to what I can get through my usually crippled internet on my phone. Comcast of course is “working on the issue”.

Stopped off at a store that sold fresh home grown tomatoes and sweet corn, took this as I was leaving.

Ok, I haven’t even been credited for my former purchase from Fanatics but they’ve already fined me $10 for cancelling my purchase. They were really quick about that. Steer clear of these people!

So, ordered a T-shirt from Fanatics, they wanted $15 for shipping and handling. Found the same T elsewhere for only $10 shipping and handling so almost immediately canceled the Fanatics order. They charged me another $10 for cancelling something they hadn’t even started packaging.

Won't be buying from them anymore.

Excessive heat warning from noon today until 9pm Friday for the central Illinois area. Please take care and keep kids and beasties in the AC as much as possible.

I ordered a t-shirt online and realized after the fact that they defaulted to 2nd day delivery. Who does that? Of course being the pig headed person I am I cancelled that order and then reordered with the cheapest delivery. Then they had the stupidity to ask me to rate my experience shopping there. They got a big, fat, zero.

Do you think I’d get into trouble if I beat my coworker with the stock she doesn’t refill?

So, Powerball is up to $1 billion, what would you do if you win that jackpot? I would buy a new car, pay off my house, put a new roof and gutters in and then pay for my nieces and nephews college tuition.

Almost done making molasses cookies. Giving some to my brothers, maybe my fried and my neighbor. Depends on how many I devour before I go to bed tonight.

Got the recipe from a coworker back in my MSU days but never gave it a try until now. They smell really good, like a spice cookie.

We’ve gotten plenty of rain but we still seem to be in the area that repels most of it. It’s kind of fun to watch on the weather channel’s radar, it looks like most of the precipitation just dissipates when it gets within 10 miles of here. Which is probably a warning for the rest of us to avoid this area as well.

Oh well, when it dries out pretty soon it’ll be interesting to see how soon the lawn needs mowing.
