Michele Fiore (R), now a justice of the peace in Nye County, Nev., had promised donors that their entire contributions would go toward a statue dedicated to an officer killed in the line of duty.
But Fiore used the donations on rent, travel and political fundraising bills, federal prosecutors said. She also transferred money to family members, including to pay for the wedding,

In the movies and books this is usually where they get too cocky, screw up and land in prison. I’m not sure that’ll happen these days. I’m hoping it’s just a combination of old age fear and depression.
@cjcrew I have control over what I do and who I vote for. There is no amount of propaganda, gaslighting, or intimidation that will compromise my vote. I do not support fascists, theocrats, liars, thieves, or dominionsts. I can't account for anyone so disenchanted that they are willing to sell out their freedom to become controlled by an unprincipled flim flam fraud. I also believe the disenchanted are heavily out of the numbered.
@jackdetate I live amongst them, I deal with GOP supporters every damn day. Sometimes I even dare to disagree with them when they blame Biden for the mess the previous administration left him. It gets old, it makes me tired.
Of course I have control over what I do and I don’t support thieves, fascists or mean people, but I am only human, I get discouraged. That has nothing to do with how I vote but it does have a lot to do with how much he’s getting away with. Sorry but I’m scared.
