Admission: yes I am lazy and yea I should have gotten off my lazy butt and drove to the store to do this myself, but…this is kinda too scary to not share. I ordered cat food from the grocery store to be delivered. Specifically ordered pate, and only used pate type for substitution. Spoke with the shopper, apologized for being so adamant about the cat food but my cats will only eat pate.
Guess who is the proud owner of 38 tiny cans of gravy lover’s cat food. I’m scared for this country.
@TrueBloodNet the cats will eat the gravy and sometimes if I starve them, a tiny bit of that fake meat. What frustrates me is I’ve had over a dozen cats throughout my adulthood and not one of them liked that damn fake meat yet the companies just keep making more instead of having more varieties of pate. Why? Am I not meeting the cats who are crazy about fake meat chunks? Are they maybe European cats that I’ve never met? Because seriously my cats haven’t been fans. They’d rather not have to chew.
@cjcrew My cats hate pate. shrugs.
@TrueBloodNet My cats used to hate pate, now it’s all they’ll eat, besides kibble, all but one will eat kibble. Weirdos. My animals are all like me, a tad off center.
@TrueBloodNet And let’s face it, it’s a lot of work explaining what I wanted and what I got and why I want a refund. What I hate is everything here is spread out, at least a 15 minute drive away in an area of highly congested traffic (especially this time of year) and stupid drivers.
But bonus that the weed store is also out that way.
@cjcrew It's not a lot of work. You call the service, you show them what you ordered, They can see you said no subs. And tell them what you got. They'll refund you.
@TrueBloodNet The cats are eating it, most of it anyway.
@cjcrew Aww good to hear! :)
@TrueBloodNet They just have to be hungry enough, and I’m going to stop at the store in my way into work and pick up some pate. Or I’ll order some tomorrow from the pet food store. The expensive but understanding of the difference between pate and gravy lovers pet food store.
My cats will eat the gravy. Most cats will eat the gravy, it’s the rest of it they don’t usually eat which is chunks of meat products. Since these are extra gravy I don’t feel quite so bad feeding it to them.
@TrueBloodNet I stopped ordering from Chewy because they will only use FedEx for delivery and for some reason FedEx has a bias against delivering to my front porch. They have left it blocking my front door (on the porch steps), blocking my back door (by leaning the boxes on the line step against the door, by the back yard gate and in the driveway (no clue why there), so I told them I was done ordering from them. I’m going to have to find a source I can afford.
@cjcrew Try tractor supply paws and claws.
@TrueBloodNet We don’t have a Tractor Supply store but that does remind me that we do have a giant warehouse type hardware store that carries cases of the food they usually eat. I just have to remind myself to go there on a Wednesday or Thursday before they sell out because everyone else in the area knows about them as well and they are usually sold out by Friday evening.
@cjcrew Tractor Supply delivers about anywhere. All you have to do is spend $50 on pet food and delivery is free.
@TrueBloodNet Thank you! That’s good to know.
@cjcrew Look you paid for that service. Call and demand a refund.
