I am not a person who normally wakes up talking. I need some time to acclimate to the state of awakeness. My neighbor, not so much. He wakes up with full conversations on his lips. I don’t think his mind stops at all to sleep. This morning I was granted access to his ideas for selling his collection of Monopoly games and the $1000 bike he just repaired. Divorce is expensive.

Anyone want a house? It’s going up for sale soon or for auction if the bank so chooses. I do hope no Trumper buys it.

@cjcrew

Stay inside until you find your voice. Does he come into your house? Why can’t you avoid him?

@LnzyHou Because our backyards are connected. They are divided by a 4 foot chain link fence but we can’t not see each other when we’re in our perspective back yards. I’m fine with ignoring him but he won't ignore me. He will start talking even if I don’t talk. I could be brutally honest with him and tell him I don’t want to talk but to be honest, that’s not in my nature and I’m not sure it would stop him from talking. He just really has to talk. I find it’s just easier to stay inside.

@cjcrew

How sad he has the ability to keep you from enjoying your dog/yard.

@LnzyHou Sad but I think the problem is as much me as it is him. I’m a person who needs alone time, even more so because I have to work with the public several days a week (more right now as we are severely short staffed). I’ve always been this way, even as a child I remember going into the wooded area behind the house for some peace. He is a person who needs to be with others. Just different personality types. Sad is his being outdoors all the time has cost him his marriage.

@LnzyHou And, I have tried ignoring him, that doesn’t stop him from talking. He doesn’t need, or even want, replies. He just wants to talk.

@LnzyHou Oh, and my dog adores his dog and asks for him to get his dog so they can play. And going outside is 90% for the dog, I can limit my outdoor time to coming and going but the dog needs outdoor time to relieve himself and he’s got social needs that I no longer have.

@LnzyHou No one comes into my house. Only family and my best friend are allowed in my house. I don’t think any of my neighbors have gotten close enough to me to be allowed inside. I’m funny that way, my house is my sanctuary. It’s also the safe place for my beasties.
