who do you think the real bosses are.....it's the corporate entities buying ad time/or making political donations.....and they make policy regardless of what anyone tries to lead us to believe....IMHO
Why doesn't the economic terrorism that occurs to workers daily gain any traction in the news?
Everyday workers are asked to do more, work less and lose benefits all because businesses are "struggling" while execs reap millions.
Reporters need to press these companies on "how they can lack such compassion?" This is not about what the exec "deserves" but about how they can sleep knowing their workers are being driven into poverty.

On the mornings that I have to get up and get out to open the store, i always am in a good mood. The mornings I don't have to open, I feel like I need two cups of ☕ and the a little bit of the morning news before I can even think about thinking.

^^ This isn't a thing to take personally, but it's especially helpful to keep it in mind during the holidays, almost all of which have extremely uncouth origins.
In a place like this, it should be self-evident that we aren't celebrating the worst of that history, and so pointing it out is often read as malicious pedantry—even if that is not the intent.
I'm part Irish like many American "mutts," and today reminds me of that. It's as good a cause to celebrate as any. 🍀👍
