Me to my boss today after $discussion: "It's only work. At the end of the day I have a bass and a freezer full of homemade ice cream."

@th3j35t3r I think now it was a failed update. Before I so precipitously issued the reboot, I did notice the file date. The update was at or about the same time. Something got wrapped. I was thinking if it were an exploit I got from some other browser, it wouldn't show a Brave badge but a Chrome one, and it wouldn't be so easy to defeat.

@knewman Yes, I use Vivaldi, Chrome, Brave, Opera. I avoid Firefox because it blocks things I need, and IE, because. Edge I disable.

Yo, @th3j35t3r - I just had a bad Brave experience. One other person complained to the devs. Have you seen a case like... brave won't start. If you drill down on the running task it's property "name" is "old_chrome. You can't taskkill it. However, you can rename it and reboot. Then everything is fine and you can reinstall. Very strange, possible malware?

@MisterE In this case, I am insulated from the need to keep my head down and I did not. I have my meeting, now, tomorrow.

@BreakingNews
Crushed, nobody laughed at my joke. But hey. The Future Begins Tomorrow.

All right Coxo, since my colleagues are on my more public social media feeds I cannot vent there but (*&^%$^%$&melonfarming Suits who think it looks easy because they have NO EFFING CLUE about what's behind their shiny new service they want me to run but keep putting off all the requirements discussions for. In my company if you're not done with your project by November just go home, because people go on holidays etc. This morning's proposed reschedule : 9 Sept. I told him to go eff himself.*

* Not in so many words, of course. But I did tell him he could find someone else if they didn't want to get this "very important" project under way.

@BreakingNews Next in line is Jim YaYa and after that, Jim Smallberries.

@MrsSpear So far so good here. We have a windy and gray day so far, bur no crashes, bangs, thumps or power outages in my 20.

I am not impressed with my long awaited, critical (but it seems only to ME) meeting being blown off another week on the same day. Not gon' lie, I'm pissed.
