Does anybody know what this tree is? The closeup is, I'm guessing, a complex stamen structure. Eastern Australia, near Byron Bay.

Have been in Brisbane for about 24 hours, here for a conference and some vacation. Was at an outdoor but downtown coffeeshop and this guy (or gal) jumped up on the next table picking over scraps. It's an Australian White Ibis (Threskiornis moluccus). Apparently, they're extremely common, but people were shooing them away like we do pigeons in the US.

Some kind of reduviid, I think. But obviously a wheel-bug wannabe. Questions?
