I don’t like it but I think Judge Marchan did the best he could. Trump can’t say the sentencing was election interference. So we beat him on election day and sit back for our thanksgiving gift of sentencing on Nov.26.
Exactly.
If he was sentenced before the election, he wouldn't have been carted off immediately. Trump would still have been free to go home, sit on his gold painted toilet and type up a fundraising email that would have netted him millions of dollars, even if that didn't translate into an election win.
Will his base really donate to him that much AFTER he loses in November? A twice loser? No. Not when they're already starting to look for their next Golden Calf.
@carmen Sorry to disagree. This is just another way TFG is treated differently and it will affect the election in TFG's favor. I'm still confident we can win, but having that punishment on the record would have really helped us.
Justice delayed is always justice denied.
Anyway, I'm not trying to start a bicker I'm just sick of hearing folks cover for these judges and the judicial process. (and, extraordinarily just tired today to boot)
@TrueBloodNet The thing is if he got sentenced now, he'd be on a fundraising binge. Harris is beating him in the polls and in the financial coffers. This is the milk of elections. Bleed him dry.
@TrueBloodNet It is interesting though to see how differently Marchan and Chutkan are addressing matters of postponement.
@carmen Or we don't beat him on election day and the "sentencing gift" becomes dead mail. I guess that constitutes the barrier troops that keep us from folding, spindling and mutilating our ballots.🙄
@carmen
It is what it is. I see no percentage in trying to second-guess judges.
