@babaohreally interestingly, as i understand it it is fairly common for neurodiverse folks (specifically autistic and ADHD folks) to share a personal story to show they relate and were listening. It’s not our intent to steal the limelight.

Took me a long time to realize this, that I was feeling shamed and called out for inserting myself, and resulted in me withdrawing more instead of actively contributing to the conversation.

Of course, I am well and truly #actuallyautistic, but that doesn't negate anything, though not few certainly do make the effort to make it seem as if it does.

It's also why my circle is smol and why not few do not much fancy their friends, colleagues, peers, etc. being around me.

: One of the puzzles that bothered me since I was a little kid is one I didn't understand the answer to until I was in my mid-twenties and then didn't finally accept, truly accept, until I was in my late thirties. It was this question, one I often posed:

Why is it okay for you yourself to behave, often repeatedly, serially, in the very same ways you openly decry and deride in others?

I do not like knowing or understanding the answer.
