Credits rolling on Pentiment. That last Act takes some real turns. I'm very impressed. This game absolutely deserves the accolades it has received. As usual with games like this, while I know I can go back and make different choices... I probably won't. I played it the way I wished and I'm fine with how it turned out.

Now I gotta figure out what's next. After , that is. Hehe.

Finished Act 2 of Pentiment tonight. That was unexpected. Certainly interested to see how Act 3 turns out.

Lol, of course all servers would go down just as I finish up my add-on/UI adjustments and start playing. You'd think after 20 years Blizz could figure this out πŸ˜†

@awesomejohn yeah I don't know if I can run that minimal heh. I am gonna drop AllTheThings for most my alts cause it's 350+mb of mem and I think the likely culprit. Still gonna look at a little more trimming, I'm sure I'm not really using some of these 113 other add-ons enough to justify keeping them.

@Lilithiel yep, same. Dropping into single digits at those things on this poor old PC. I can run it at 7 most places but once too much particle effects (esp fire) or too many players fill the screen I can't get decent frames even dropping the settings to 2 lol

Today's Mission: face my addon addiction and see what I can *wince* live without? I def have a heavy UI and need to pare some stuff, as I get pushed into swap by 50% in a few play sessions. I do so like my UI so I hope I don't have to cut any "true UI" addons but rather extras (like say AllTheThings, tracks literally everything you can do in a zone but is a memory SINK). May get serious about SpartanUI, used it before but it's not quite what I want. Sacrifices must be made tho.

@MsJudyJetson I imagine not lol. Never did ESO myself. I got enough time sinks as it is πŸ€ͺ

@Robert3 πŸ˜€ I've got a few cool sets over the years I tend to hold to, esp cause often the new gear sets don't speak to me. I did like how much customization I was allowed with my Evoker. Course soon as I logged in I saw one that looked an awful lot like her 😏

@Robert3 true, good thing I also don't care much about that stuff either πŸ˜†

@Robert3 haha, yeah, I stopped bothering with pretty much all instance content years ago. At least, when it's current. Always hated PUGs. I like grinding levels so when I get into it I just max level, switch to another alt, repeat. I watch end game let's plays to keep up with the story and go solo them myself later. Why I have 17 alts that are lvl 50+ lol

So I dig the new Evoker class so far, still getting used to it. Feels odd to play a caster with such short range tho. Also, I either have to go in and fiddle with the graphics settings, mess around with system settings, or just try to play at times most other players aren't around lol. Couple times my frames dropped into single digits with all the particles and players around heh. And leave it to Blizz to launch new content full of bugs. Again.

Meet Beans. One of my four furry rascals. He's a big mushy baby, but likes to pretend he runs the place.

Well, it took me 2 hours of attempting to upgrade graphics drivers. Failing, checking what's going wrong via terminal, realizing my dependencies were old. Installing new ones. Running the upgrade again and succeeding. Rebooting, then finally succeeding reinstalling Bnet launcher. Updating . Logging in, then another hour killing add-ons throwing errors. But I finally made a purple dragon lady and quested thru the starting area and ended in Stormwind. The things I'll do for my fix.

Today I made a bigger wallet. I need to iron out some details to make it a little nicer. The middle keeps trying to open up, but i think it's just a matter of how I sewed the seams on the sides. Next one should be better!

Pentiment (Xbone, Game Pass)
As a history buff this point and click adventure game absolutely speaks directly to me. I'm almost done with the first act and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The medieval manuscript art style, the text fonts, the scratch of a quill on vellum with each text box, the music (even a Gregorian chanter), well written, tons of references, it's all great. The first act is a "Name of the Rose" style murder mystery. Looking forward to the rest.
