#gaming Put a few hours into #LotRO today. Main is a Hunter, lvl 63, mostly done with Moria. I'm glad the game is still running. Wonder when the promised graphics/UI update will drop. I like it as is but an overhaul would still be welcome.
Jumped off the #PC and back onto the #PS5 when the GF got home and more Spirit of the North. Just rolled credits on it. It's a short experience, but a very good one imo. Similar to Journey or Stray. Now, gotta decide what's next from the endless backlog lol.

This game sure is pretty. Great piano based soundtrack as well. No dialogue, no narrative. Relaxing experience overall so far. There's some jank in world traversal. Jumping too close to a ledge makes you slide along it instead of climbing it. Invisible walls, boo. Can't wait to see the end tho.

@Skyye Ah, yeah WoW was pretty garbage on PvP servers then. I switched to a PvE server and turned off most chat. I also don't care about the 5+ player content, I just love to grind alts so I ignore 95% of the players anyway lol. That would make for a cool MMO tho I dunno how exactly they'd pull that off, heh. Rift sort of tries, if players don't close a rift the mobs coming out of it screw up the region until the rift gets closed. I can't think of any MMOs that got closer to what you described.

@Skyye I'm guessing there's some server issues both from the influx of Twitter migrants and I noticed people talking about a DDOS attack today. Both the web and app versions of the site been struggling to load at times for me.

@Skyye Cool. I been a console kid since the Atari 2600. Still have most of my old systems. Didn't join the PC race till '05, was gifted a Dell that was so crap I built a PC in '08. WoW sub since '06 (yeah.. hoping the M$ deal cleans up ActBlizz cause I have 20+ alts there and 2 years played time heh), but also LoTRO, some Rift and even logged back into DCUO recently. Thomas Dolby still a fave artist, even played "his" ARG The Floating City the summer before he released that LP.
