PSA - It has been brought to our attention that 'JivoChat' a component widely used on commercial sites as a form of communication between customers and businesses has been bought by Russian Sberbank.

We have been using this for our Support and Conflict Resolution Center element. In light of this we will be removing the JivoChat component from https://counter.social.

It will no longer be available from 1230am ET tonight.

We will rollout a replacement in due course.

You do not need a Pro account to include links to your other social media presences in your CounterSocial profile.

Just use the "Profile Metadata" to add up to four entires. This metadata can contain whatever you want. #CoSoTips

PSA - The intermittent glitch that was sporadically affecting GIF and Video media uploads has been resolved. We think. 🤞

What is "DeepFakeDetector?"

It's exactly what it says it is. When you upload media to CounterSocial, our scrubbers also check it for artificial manipulation. If it detects those signatures, you get an alert.

It's a little trigger happy on .gifs because compression algorithms often look like false positives. If you post a lot of .gifs, consider muting @DeepFakeDetector. #CoSoTips
