The Pantheon is still the largest unsupported concrete dome in the world, two millennia after its construction. It is the best-preserved of Rome's ancient monuments and one of the most influential buildings in the Western world. Built by Hadrian over Marcus Agrippa's earlier 27 BC temple, it has stood since around AD 125.
No real reason for posting this. I just always thought they were really cool. I used to have a “real” one from a ship. I think nowadays you can just buy them as a piece of home decor.
