"... the thread is lost; the labyrinth has been lost too. Now we don't even know if we are surrounded by a labyrinth, a secret cosmos, or a random chaos. Our beautiful duty is to imagine that there is a labyrinth and a thread. "

Random Thought:

Currently there are 40,000 homeless veterans in America -
The average cost of a tiny home is $18k -40k
1/8 of an acre costs an average of $400

We could house every single homeless veteran in this country for $1,000,000,000

We spend $738,000,000,000 on the military every,.... single,....... year.

Why are there homeless veterans in America?

Because we simply dont care enough.

Rachel "The Doc" Bitecofer 📈🔭🍌 - @RachelBitecofer: @ewarren is a capitalist too. She’s just not into the dumb version the GOP ascribes to- which is an ideological version, not an economic model.

All the social democracies are capitalist- they are not socialist.

The main thing wrong w/ capitalism is it’s treated like a religion.

Today's Twitter gem: Jenny Nicholson - @JennyENicholson: We're gonna have to retire the expression "avoid it like the plague" because it turns out humans do not do that

The militarized police presence and actions are in support of a government "by a few people, for a few people, over the rest of the people" -- not a democracy.

The bad &amp - faulty electronic gear or just HTML acting out? 🤔

Paul Krugman with the hard truth about the GOP: "The point is that today’s Republican Party wouldn’t object to a Trumpian power grab, even if it amounted to a military coup. On the contrary, the party would cheer it on."

Today what is on my mind is gloomy. "Whether by design or lack of it, Donald Trump and the Republican Party operate an American state that they have increasingly organized on fascist principles." newrepublic.com/article/157949

This is a long and sobering read about the current political situation in our dear USA. I found it informative and generative. theatlantic.com/magazine/archi
