Tomorrow will be one second longer than today in these parts. Have to adjust my schedule.

eh it's fine I didn't want to get anything done today.
Bellingcat’s Technical Fellow George Dyer has made investigating companies publicly listed in the US easier by creating a toolkit that helps you navigate and collect data from a free-to-access company regulatory database.
Via spreadsheet, RSS, or python.
(spreadsheet link is AWOL at the moment)

So let's say my friend, errr, aquantaince, in the USA wants to buy something (somewhat large and heavy) in the UK. The vendor doesn't sell or ship to the USA For some reason the transaction needs to be legal.
The uh, private jet is in the shop. Are there alternative shippers that do this kinda thing?
#cosoreads Give it up, bookworms. What's a reputable online bookstore not named amazon for hardcopy books?
Company sells a product with a transmitting radio, to operate in the USA the radio has to be registered with the FCC and the company labels the product with the FCC ID. Right? So then I can just look up the specs at the FCC.
But if the company didn't make that radio and I can't find a picture of that label on the intertubes, how can I find out what that radio is (already have msgs in to the company) ??

@Alfred you're a world-class chef. Need to make a chicken marinade. I have cider and balsamic vinegars, a little bbq sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, an onion. Whats a recipe that uses any of those ingredients
Beyond the headlines -- or page 5 articles, or press releases -- about COP28, there are binding agreements. Here's a quick view of what is and isn't getting written down.
"COP28 will culminate in a set of legal decisions, under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and its associated Kyoto Protocol and Paris Agreement.
This set of legal texts lies at the heart of COP28 – and every other UN climate summit."

@Alfred It's said that we eat over a ton of dirt every day. How is that possible
Re: #logofail some (most?) System76 machines have coreboot, not UEFI. Per their developers, "no mechanism to change the image, so no logofail, unless you flash your own custom firmware (which the ability to do so obviates the need to take advantage of bios image parsing bugs)"
@Alfred What pairs well with a vintage cream cheese?
Please yes FSM.
"Is the flat design trend finally over?"
As a recovering UX/IXD person I recoiled at Material Design. As an older person with older eyes, I flailed and actually wept (eye fatigue) at Material Design.
Contrast and information scent are good! In most cases! Okay!
