We will rebuild, reconcile, and recover
in every known nook of our nation and
every corner called our country,
our people diverse and beautiful will emerge,
battered and beautiful.
When day comes we step out of the shade,
aflame and unafraid.
The new dawn blooms as we free it.
For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it,
if only we’re brave enough to be it.

Putin won't read the memo but everyone around him will.
Here is an action item for you:
"If you or your family members don't have library cards then go out and get one. If they are fighting this hard against public education, then public libraries are next. They are already proposing defunding IMLS, which funds many libraries at the state level through grant funds.
@MLClark
I think this is excellent, thanks.
Want to emphasize the "parents" option.
I too was advised against a book by a school librarian.
I thought it looked cool, she thought it was "over my head".
My parents didn't know what it was but they immediately got me that book.
It was a book-shaped case of maps.
Takes a village to raise kids, sure. My parents had a certain information philosophy others don't; right or wrong it was their decision.

It's expensive but relatively easy to install ammeters on breaker circuits. They're gonna run $100+ each. Have done this for commercial buildings with stuff like:

DIY is possible but do know what you're doing!
@mcfate @yogapaddlerun @redenigma
My electric co. sends a monthly home energy report with a histogram breaking out Heating, water heating, Kitchen, etc.
All guessed from the gross amperage and time of day. They would need to meter at the devices and/or breakers.
I could install wattbugs or pretty cheap amp meters to get a better sense of the power bill. But that's a different rabbit hole.
@yogapaddlerun @redenigma Some can send the data back on the power line, and some can send via loRaWAN, saves the driving.
Ah, added a bunch of fallback nitter instances, fixed it.

@yogapaddlerun AFAIK They came about to make it easier to read meters in rural places. See also remote-read water and gas meters.
@grapho it's the only way to be sure

the worst company. WORST.
@MrGoat
Really cool. Now how do I erase that from my brain
@LadyZurk EXACTLY. Beautiful pines 15 feet away.
And the nest hole is at the ridge, too steep for me to get to. Going to have to call $omeone.
Got a brown-headed nuthatch here thought a great idea would be to drill a nice big nest hole in my house's fascia.
