@JohnnyGenX Yep. Odd that the folks who 'want smaller government and government out of our lives' want to give power of controlling internet use to the pols who are ALL about controlling and using parental concerns as cover.
Been trying, for DECADES, to get folks to share the fact that the word "parent" is not just a noun. It is also a verb and more people with offspring need to grasp that concept and start parenting!
@LnzyHou Used to live in Montana, so got to see them sometimes. So weird and beautiful. One night, instead of the usual green or turquoise, the lights were deep blood red. It depends on what kinds of ions are in the incoming bursts from the sun, I guess.
@LnzyHou Yep. He knows how lucky he is to have a job that brings him the opportunity to see such rare sights. He took the time to be able to assure everyone on his plane had the experience at least once.

If people in the US didn't want it, cartels & drug runners wouldn't be bringing it into the country. This is on us, on the culture we have allowed to evolve.
Drug runners & people smugglers are very dangerous to people driving in my area. It is surveillance, not walls, that catches them.
Fix the social ills that make drug use too common. It's the only way to stop this crap.

Instead of starting a fire, you'll have created the grounds for better behavior in the future, and you won't have pointlessly ruined a relationship.
Most people are not awful and we don't need to treat them as if they are unless they prove otherwise. Social interactions only work if we give people room to make occasional mistakes, and admit that we're not always going to be 100% right about identifying those mistakes.
