We have something similar, but a little different!
In the Mexica cultures, we honor and bless our dogs on October 27. The souls of our lost dogs come back on that evening to find the souls of their humans and guide them to the next phase on Dia De Los Muertos.
We also dress our dogs in marigold garlands, because the souls are attracted to the scent of the flowers and make it easier for them to find each other.
Whether you believe it or not, each year dogs are profoundly worshipped in Nepal and this will restore some of your faith in humanity.
Happy Kukur Tihar. Let's appreciate dogs for being inseparable part of our lives. ❤ 🐶

@arunshah: And even if you don't win, at least you kept yourself occupied.
@arunshah It left out "not having rich parents".
@arunshah
The reason most people will never be rich is that they aren’t willing to put money ahead of Every. Other. Thing. in their lives.
No delusions about summiting, getting to base camp has long been on my bucket list.
Maybe next lifetime.
Enjoy life. Have fun. Be kind. Have worth. Have friends. Be honest. Laugh. Die with dignity.
