Jumping in the way back machine for this. This is from the first video I ever posted to Youtube; back before Shorts existed. :).

It was done in a now defunct Facebook app called Graffiti. You could only adjust the brush size, hue, and opacity. No undos, no layers. The process was recorded as an SWF file, and it was free.

It was a painful but effective way to learn the basics of digital painting.

Sketching Mouths...
Just getting in a skill building exercise. I learn a lot doing these and they help build the mental library. One thing I picked up on this round was the need to include the inside of the lip at certain angle angles and lip curls.

The references are random results from goggle image search.

I do this to help develop my character design skill and to work on something not mainstream, and it's just nice to give someone the opportunity to get their character drawn by someone else (in this case, me).
