Cartoons like Thundercats, He-Man, and like always had protentional if taken more seriously. Comic books have done this to a degree. I'm going to take a shot a drawing a more serious Lion-O; a more savage and brutal take on him. Let's see if I pull it off. :D

If your an artists/vendor that's going and would like this as a photoshop template (minus my art and name) message me and I can send it too you.
This weeks drink & draw topic is "aliens." I'm looking for suggestions of cool looking but lesser know aliens. An example of one i've done in the past is a moorwen. You've probably never heard of it. It's from the movie Outlander.
I'm not looking for xenomorphs, or Twi'leks, or E.T., etc. Dig deep and give me a cool looking alien from comics, tv, movies, anime, or manga, that you're pretty sure no else knows about. :D
The stream will June 7, at 7pm HST
Soaring Imaginations are crowdfunding a documentary on local hero and legend, Detective Chang Apana. He was the inspiration for the character Charlie Chan. This draw 9x12 part of the drive. The original, along with a signed copy of the script is 1 single tier. Signed prints are available as another tier. Both include a credit in the movie.

Arrrrr maties! I'm in a pirate mood, so let's try drawing the infamous Captain Hook, but only based on the written description of J.M. Barrie's prose. Just my interpretations of the characters description. Should be fun. Come hang out with while I draw the Captain; you can even join me in the stream if you'd like.

Truly in sketch mode for this one. The last Asians of Star Wars themed Battle of the Sketches for May is Carson Teva from the Mandalorian. He's played Korean Canadian actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee. Yes, the dad from Kim's Convenience is now a space cop. :D
I'm doing this one just under wire before May ends.

Medusa
I was feeling pretty lethargic when I drew this but I still managed. I don't know why I take on subjects like this because I don't have the patience to draw all the scales. Even at this level of detail this took about 3 hours.

Kind of time killing piece. A warrior drawn while binging some Netflix shows.
a Faerie Princess. What? I like faeries. Besides I need non-copyrighted art options for an art show later this year.

A scene I had to get out of head and down on paper. Changes from the cinematic scene: heads more bowed, eyes closed, hand on Rocket's cheek.

I am one with the Force and Force is with me....
Continuing the #battleofthesketches Asians of Star Wars theme for May. This weeks it's Chirrut Imwe played by the Donnie Yen.
Full disclosure, I drew the head on the large side so I reduced it in Photoshop.
Odd fact? This is drawn the backside of the copy paper with reference images of last week's subject, Fennec Shand.
For more like this follow the #battleofthesketches tag and @epicprops on IG.
I call this Bo Flex.
Had to get this out of my head; Bo Katan with a Mandalorian heavy infantry blaster. No significance to the hexes, they're just a design element.
