I was picking up food for the missus and the young woman that took my order had very elfin features. I told her I paint pixies and thought she would make a great one. Amazingly she agreed to provide a reference photo for me to paint from. Mahalo to @bhebayyjae for the photo.

2022 ART sampling. Like most years, I started off a bit weak, but I think I finished this year stronger then ever before. Doing projects like the comic, the nature spirits, and the pixies has pushed me toward improvement. More ladies, more color, more painting. Here's hoping the progress continues into 2023.

New year, new round of conventions and shows. Jon J. Murakami and I are sharing a booth Hawaii Pop Con on January 7 (10 am-7pm)

Last artwork for 2022. It's been a rough ride, but wanted to end with a something inspiring (hopefully).

Ukraine's Miss Universe contestant, Viktoria Apanasenko, sported an amazing costume called "The Warrior of Light". The term is also the name of an award Ukraine bestows upon authors in recognition of aspirational heroic prose about justice and human values. So fitting on multiple fronts.

Starting my 11th Nature Spirit piece. I'm getting headache just thinking of the foliage details.

@Mothmanjunior's D&D Character:

Gnashkar is a middle-aged (deep gnome) who spent most of his life in libraries before he became an adventurer. He’s never without the massive Tome of Shadows given to him by his patron or his arcane focus, a fist-sized orb of green crystal.

He has the ashy gray skin typical of his folk, a bald head, and a ridiculously long and bushy white beard. He tends to dress in practical brown and beige traveling robes, old but clean.

Portrait of @supercw (Christa Wittmier). We lost her a few years back to cancer. Before she passed she did fundraisers for the Aloha Cancer Project. The fundraisers she started are still going.

I've been sitting on this project since 2017, I wanted to pay homage to her. I finally got off my butt and did it. I'm donating to the fundraiser.

Christa, I only got to work with for a little while, but you were a beacon of light to everyone around and you are most definitely missed.
