So this week I started in an effort to start losing my current carriage. There are times in my fast where I do crave the food, but currently doing the 16:8 fast and probably the worst time for me is at night when I have nothing more to keep me occupied.

Anyway... I'll report back eventually once I'm a couple weeks in with hopefully some forward trends on the scale.

@andreviens

I have more or less stuck to my intermittent fasting routine. Two consecutive days fasting, just water and some light broth. 5 days regular eating, no over eating. Lost 10 lb , need to lose only 5 more. This plus a lot of walking, yoga, and my regular sitting schedule, (mediation).

Sounds reasonable.
Just curious, why 2 consecutive* days?

I talked to a nutritionist before I started. That was her recommendation. No I didn’t look it up in books or online, all her other advice was great. So I just went with that. I have heard since about 16 other ways to do this. I don’t care, it works for me, and two days aren’t really that long. Also I only had 15 to 20 lb to lose. And I have never been over weight before retiring.

@corlin @artemis yep at the end of the day you just gotta find what works best for you.

So far I kinda like this schedule. I still eat what I want when I'm eating but it's not junk food, but it does away with counting calories.

Also throughout my life I always generally skipped breakfast and it wasn't until I had a desk job that I found myself having breakfast too.
