Maybe just expanding on * "artcenters" but
workshops for making art and crafts; woodworking, ceramics, painting, glassblowing, caligraphy, mosaics,... Galleries. Nooks for writers and readers, libraries, Meeting places. Coffee and tea houses.
Bathrooms, really well maintained.
Places to borrow & return bikes, carts, ...
