I'll give it a few more days. It's strength is still there and it moves around and is alert. It is eating the cherry tomatoes.

My daughter lives in Monument and she took the grandkids to Garden of the Gods a week ago.

Straight south of Denver, about 20 miles east of the mountains.

Not really. The temperature fluctuates in Fall and Spring. It normally gets much cooler towards the end of the month. The chance of snow can be anytime in October.

I'm hoping it's temporary. It'll go through periods of not eating, but this has been over a week. It did eat several cherry tomatoes, but not its regular food, which is unusual. I noticed some discoloration on its shell. It just seems like time is coming to an end.
