For the first time since 2012 I am not starting the year with a budget spreadsheet. Hoping by mid-year husband and I can sit down and discuss how to save to buy a house

I got the best white elephant gift this year at my family’s Christmas! Home made spice mixes. Had to cook up some chicken breasts to try them out. Not pictured ‘Mean Green’ which has a great parsley/dill scent.
That feeling when you have a 4:00pm teams meeting scheduled and you get an email from a participant saying “I don’t have any updates, do we still need to meet?” and you really hope the organizer says okay to reschedule ❤️ Because I would love a nap.
Time for a 2 hour drive to celebrate my family’s Christmas. Then we are officially done.

I don’t want to do anything today but I’m chipping away at a project little by little. It kinda feels like I got a bunch of the tough audits and everyone else just whips through theirs.
A friend received notice a few weeks ago that their landlord will not be renewing their lease in March & needed to move out! This is after his car needed several hundred $ in repairs. He found a new place but has to pay rent for 2 places plus the cost of moving. If you have any ability to help I know he would appreciate it.
2.5” of rain in this last storm. So much moisture that we have a river flooding warning. In December. Not sure that’s ever happened before.
@sfleetucker I like to pretend people wearing masks are in hiding or being mysterious even though I know it’s for health reasons. I wish more people would have better attitudes about masking though. Getting sick fees horrible and so does getting others sick.
As the day progresses I feel more and more garbage-like. While head hurts and I just wanna sleep. Bummer.
