Dad is having a heart stent put in tomorrow. Hopefully it goes well. He thinks he’s going to die.
@annamuneca , more than likely he'll wish he'd had it done sooner. 🍀
@LadyZurk He’s 73. honestly I’m SUPER surprised it took this long for them to investigate it. It started with the slow healing diabetic foot ulcers which lead to ultrasound of his leg veins which lead to a pre surgery physical that discovered a possible small heart attack from when he had stupidly high glucose back in midsummer.
@annamuneca , sending all the good vibes and hopes for him and all who love him. ❤️
Oh no :/ Heart surgery does feel scary, poor guy :( Hoping he gets an A+ team (that helps him feel less like he’s going to die!) @annamuneca
@Armchaircouch so far sounds like the surgeon is one who both of my sister-in-laws have experience with and great level-headed care with great bedside manner 💗 probably no surgery until January.
Oh, that’s good, then that’s just around the corner. Hopefully he can go as easy as possible until then? @annamuneca
@Armchaircouch He’s retired, can’t walk and can’t drive so he doesn’t have many options except to take it easy 🙂 more worried about getting respite for mom having to take care of him.
Here’s hoping it all goes as well as it possibly can. (And maybe even better than that!)
@ATXJane @annamuneca Blessings to your dad for good treatment and healing! ❤️🩹🙏
@annamuneca oh man. I was hoping it would be more simple 😕. 🍀
No stent for dad. He’s got to see a CT surgeon for a consult for bypass or open heart surgery. Lots of disease in his heart apparently. They think the heartburn he’s been complaining about for years is actually angina.
