From a Vietnam vet who spent 6 years in the “Hanoi Hilton”describing how he survived:
“If your environment and circumstances control your attitude, you’re in prison. If you are in control of your thoughts and your attitude, then you’re free.”

@Alfred Thank you, she was a treasure!
@anita_rotheram Judy the POW dog was a small mixed-breed dog who became a mascot and companion to British and Allied forces during World War II. She was found on the deck of a ship in Shanghai in 1936 and quickly became a beloved member of the crew. During the war, Judy was taken prisoner by the Japanese after the ship she was on was captured. Judy endured harsh conditions in a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp, but she remained loyal and brought comfort to the prisoners. She would alert them to incoming danger and boost their morale during difficult times. Judy's presence provided a much-needed sense of normalcy and companionship in the midst of the horrors of war. After the war, Judy was awarded the Dickin Medal, known as the animals' Victoria Cross, for her bravery and devotion. She was the only animal to receive the award for her actions during WWII. Judy's story is a testament to the bond between humans and animals and the power of companionship in times of adversity.
@Alfred Whst can you tell me about Judy the POW dog? Thank you!
@singlemaltgirl Sorry, can’t help there, he is hot… 🔥.
But I can recommend…. Do not look at pics of him when he was younger like when he was in Cold Comfort Farm with Kate Beckinsale - it will only make it worse.
@AskTheDevil I totally agree but it’s a tough sell. People really like the carcass on their plate.
Even small changes can help… 🤷♀️

@NorthernInvader
PP and his merry band cannot be trusted with reproductive health care. They keep bringing bill after bill to be voted down. When they win, they will have the votes to take away women’s reproductive freedom next time Vierson tables a “pre-born protection” bill. But they will be voted out if they do. Harper understood that, but PP *will* allow a private member’s bill.
@catlynne333 Good for him….
But I wonder whenever I hear men saying they oppose abortion if that means they are OK with women dying of a miscarriage when they can’t get treated, or if they think rapists should get to choose the mother of their children.
@Jezibaba This is so terrifying
@Museek I love to see lines of people 10 deep waiting on the cashier while the self check out machines remain empty.
Also, it’s fun to mess up your self check out order forcing a human being to assist you.
@Kaysymmetry
It’s notable that the bill does not invoke notwithstanding clause so will be challenged in court..
And like many other nonsensical ideological legislation by Conservative governments, it will not stand.
@lisaannlm Thank you so much! We love you back! 🇨🇦🫂🇺🇸
@Priestess What an ordeal for you both. Best wishes. 💕
Progressive Canadians 🇨🇦 worry about the state of Canadian politics but also, and importantly, American 🇺🇸 politics… because the well being of the USA affects Canada so dramatically. Economically, politically, culturally. Canadians are not Americans but are yet very much alike. #cosocanucks
@Tacitus_Kilgore
The polling was ever so wrong…
I’m guessing they didn’t poll rural areas…
