i dunno if anyone has seen the chilcotin being impacted by a major landslide.

so w/ the many fires we've had in the past decade, the cariboo has standing trees that are dead. when it rains, those trees can no longer hold that water in their root systems & the soil. coupled w/ delicate sandy terrain, we get landslides.

this slide has dumped a monumental amount of debris in the chilcotin river which now means the risk of flooding for many communities.
