In early October I was in Nashville to celebrate the life of John Prine. My wife and I went to the Johnny Cash museum and then had lunch in the bar connected to it. While watching some baseball at the bar an ad for Kamala Harris came on the TV. A white woman sitting next to us made a face of such utter distain at the mere look at VP Harris' face. That look scared me and it's one I'll never forget. That was my first doubt that women would coalesce for their daughters. It keeps playing in my mind.

Our neighbors chose this moron and morally empty man to lead this country. When those people no longer have healthcare and they've crashed the economy, and given Putin unfettered access to Ukraine and westward and their daughters die from miscarriages then maybe they'll regret their choice. I doubt it though, their cult-like smugness will comfort them and they'll blame someone else.

Rural counties report first because they have fewer votes to count -- tends to result in Republicans coming out to early leads.
Democratic count tends to come in later in the evening.

Okay, this is why I don't trust the MSM: I'm checking results in the AP website, and they've called Indiana for Trump with 14% of the vote counted, Kentucky for Trump with 8% of the vote counted, and Vermont for Harris with 0% of the vote counted. I know they're relying on exit polls, but people lie. While they probably are right, this rush for instant gratification can easily produce misleading results. It's going to be a long night, and that's as it should be.
Andy Kim D-NJ has won his Senate race. Andy was the congressman that cleaned up the Capital rotunda the morning after January 6th insurrection. Good man.
